This is the only Sreekrishna temple in Akathethara Grama Panchayath, Palakkad District. It was owned by Kuttipulikkalidam, a branch of the rulers of palakkattussery. It is centuries old. This family had investituted the idol of Lord Krishna in the form of Balagopala and worshipped as their family deity for the longevity of the family members. Kuttippulikkalidam family handed over this temple and all its assets to the present public trust on July 13th 2005.

The present Committee of this public trust named as "Sreekrishna Seva Trust" (Reg.No 2212/05) had conducted an Ashtamangalma Deva Prasna in front of the diety. In this Ashtamangalya Deva Prasna to know the 'Deva Hitha' it is revealed that separate Sreekoils for Lord Krishna and Upadevas to be constructed and by doing this, this area will get all kinds of prosperity. Moreover the Omnipotent will bestow longevity, omnisence and panache to the adorer.
